Why Struggle Alone? Join the Caregiver’s Support Group
Have you been thinking about attending the caregiver’s support group, but just haven’t made it to your first meeting yet? This month will be a great month to start. Brookdale Claremore and the First United Methodist Church are partnering to provide caregivers an opportunity to talk with others who understand what they are experiencing and educate them on the disease as much as possible.
“We started the evening group, because we know people work and it’s hard for them to make it to a morning meeting,” said Stephani Freeman, Brookdale Claremore Business Development Coordinator. “Currently, we are not getting attendance at the evening meeting. If we don’t have people at our next evening group, we may put it on hold for now. If another time or evening would work better for people, please contact me with that information.”
All caregivers are encouraged to attend on November 17 at 10 a.m. or 6 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church located at 1615 North Hwy 88 in Claremore. The event is free and open to the public. Please call Stephani at 918-633-2982 to RSVP.
