Brookdale Claremore and the Claremore Fire Department Station 2 recently displayed the kind of teamwork that is worth special recognition. An incident occurred where the Brookdale Claremore Staff had to take quick action while waiting for additional emergency help. When the Claremore Fire Department arrived they jumped right in to take over the situation. There were a couple of noteworthy occurrences that happened during this event. First, Sue Nolen and Kristen Wells, Brookdale associates, did a great job of putting their training into action. Second, after the fire department arrived and performed the necessary steps for the resident, they also cared enough to praise the Brookdale Claremore staff and make sure they were okay.

“The fire department has emergency situations every day. As an assisted living facility, even though we train our staff for emergencies, we don’t see them every day, “said Heather Jones, Executive Director of Brookdale Claremore. “Knowing that we have such an excellent fire station ready to help us provide the best care for our residents makes all the difference. We want to say a special thank you to Captain Ty Burnett, Kyle Stephens, and Lt. Jim Hamilton.”

Brookdale Claremore made homemade cinnamon rolls for Claremore Fire Department Station 2 and they presented Sue Nolan with an honorary fireman’s helmet.
