Claremore Collective has selected Meggie Froman-Knight as the new Executive Director. She will begin on August 29. Community members are invited to welcome her into this post at the Claremore Collective Monthly Mixer on Thursday, September 1st.
The come-and-go event will be held from 4:30pm to 6:30pm at the North Block Common building in downtown Claremore. The address of the venue is 115 N. Missouri.
Brandon Irby, 2016 Chair of the Claremore Collective Leadership Team, said Froman-Knight’s experience and engaging personality will help her connect the association’s various stakeholders with the interests of young professionals and vision for Claremore’s future.
“Meggie has proven herself as established leader having the skills and experiences necessary to advance our young professionals association as we near completion of our start up year and move forward with implementing our strategic plan,” Irby said. “Her deep roots in Rogers County and passion for her hometown are infectious. Her past accomplishments are a strong indication of the value she’ll add to Claremore Collective.”
Most recently Froman-Knight served in the Office of Alumni & Development at Northeastern State University (NSU) in Tahlequah. A position she held since 2013 where her efforts generated year-over-year record setting growth in fundraising for three consecutive years. Her responsibilities included the oversight of 85,000+ donor and alumni database and a focus on student scholarship development.
A graduate of NSU earning a bachelors of arts in Corporate Communication, she was previously employed with the Margaret Hudson Program and the Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits and is recognized as a Certified Nonprofit Manager by the Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits. She has also served on the Claremore Collective Attraction Crew, as the Tahlequah Young Professional and Entrepreneurs Work Committee Chair, and volunteers auxiliary support to the Tiawah Fire Department.
Claremore Collective assembled in January as a workforce development initiative of the Claremore Industrial and Economic Development Authority focused on representing the interests of young professionals in five key areas: Attraction, Arts and Entertainment, Development, Government Relations, and Next Gen Leadership.
In addition to overseeing the operations of Claremore Collective, Froman-Knight is responsible for facilitating and maintaining relationships with workforce development partners throughout the region and bolstering workforce development throughout the county.
