Claremore, Here’s How You Can Help on Rare Disease Day

Perhaps you love someone who is rare, or you know someone who is, and you want to help. Wednesday, February 28, is Rare Disease Day, and it’s a great day to celebrate others and maybe help out a bit.

For Claremore’s Zip Gordon, Rare Disease Day is a big deal, as Zip has Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva, or FOP. The incredibly rare genetic disease is studied extensively at UPenn by some of the world’s finest medical minds. But it costs about $2,000 per day for the research. Donations are desperately needed to continue with the research and also to fund the drug trials that are currently underway. If you’d like to help make the future brighter for Zip, and others suffering from FOP, you can help!
