If You Enjoy Fishing and You’re Friendly in Claremore, Read This!

The Claremore Veterans Center residents are being treated to the annual fish fry by the Claremore Elks Lodge. The Elks fry up 300 POUNDS of catfish and all the fixins’ on Saturday, May 20, from 8a – 2p. They are also providing new fishing poles and tackle, as well as music and entertainment. Route 66 H.O.G. is donating soft drinks and bottled water.

There will be a horseshoe tournament sponsored by the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association.

This event is not open to the public, but volunteers are needed! Many of the residents are in wheelchairs, so multiple “pushers” are needed. Folks are also needed to help bait hooks and help with horseshoes.

If you or your organization would like to volunteer to help with this fantastic event, please contact Bert Ellard at bellard@odva.state.ok.us or 918-397-2109.
