Claremore Rodeo is Back-to-Back-to-Back-to-Back (4X) Small Rodeo of the Year

On December 6th, the PRCA Rodeo Awards were handed out in Las Vegas, and for the fourth time in as many years, the Will Rogers Stampede Rodeo in Claremore was voted best in the land!

Rodeos are classified in 4 categories: small, medium, large and large indoor. The small rodeo encompasses more than 400 PRCA rodeos nationwide, including Claremore’s Will Rogers Stampede Rodeo.

Nominations are conducted by contestants as a reflection of their appreciation for the quality of the event and the hospitality demonstrated at the venue and in the town or city where the rodeo is located. Claremore’s hospitality, great crowds and added concert features have proven a successful combination. Over the last few years the Will Rogers Stampede PRCA Rodeo has found a way to set a new standard in the small rodeo world.

Gizmo McCracken, the Stampede barrel man for the past two years, also won Comedy Act of the Year! You’ll remember him as the funny clown who debuted his shrinking machine at the rodeo and “accidentally” shrunk himself.

Congratulations to the committee on all of their hard work and commitment to making Claremore more than just a map dot on the rodeo circuit.
