Claremore Hosts Mountain Bike Race: It’s a Hit!

Check out this video above by Lunch Ride!

Last weekend, Claremore was chosen to host a super cool mountain bike race called the Shoreline Shred, part of the Tour de Dirt. We did an all-call for volunteers and were rewarded with plenty of helpful Claremore folks!

More than 600 people were in attendance at the event, including 197 adults who participated in the race, and 48 racing kids.

Musician’s Haven provided live music, and Auto Definitions provided the stage for the bands. Our local Billy Sims donated $250 worth of food for the racers and volunteers.

Several racers even said that our little Claremore Mountain Bike Trail is “the best trail system in Oklahoma.” Remember, it’s only a couple of years old, and has been built entirely by volunteers, spearheaded by Rory Peterson.

Huge thanks to all our sponsors for putting on an incredible event.
