RSU Announces Youth Basketball Camps in Claremore

The Rogers State men’s and women’s basketball teams announced six sessions of camps for the summer. The men’s basketball program will hold two camps in June with the women’s basketball program taking part in four camps in June.
The men’s program concludes its summer schedule with a Boys Camp from June 18-20 for grades first to eighth at the Claremore Rec Center. The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day with campers receiving instruction from the RSU coaching staff and players.
RSU women’s basketball will hold Elite Camp for players in grades ninth through 12th who have the desire to improve through competitive skill development and coaching from the RSU coaches and players. Each athlete will receive individual position-specific work at the camp. The camp is scheduled for June 28 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m and is limited to 30 campers. Camp will be held at Bushyhead Fieldhouse on the RSU Claremore campus.
The women’s basketball program holds its Day Skills Camp from June 25-27 for grades first through eighth. The camp, which runs from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day, is a comprehensive introduction and improvement of basic skills and game-like situations. Athletes will be instructed by the RSU coaching staff and players. The camp will be held at the Claremore Rec Center.
The final camp of the summer for RSU women’s basketball is its Shooting Camp on June 27-28. The first day runs from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with the second day scheduled for 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Shooting Camp is for grades sixth to 12th and will focus primarily on shooting and other individual skills. Athletes will be instructed by the RSU women’s basketball coaching staff and players. The camp will be held at the Claremore Rec Center.
