Claremore Non-Profit Donates to Food Truck Thursday

Jody Reiss hands over a $750 sponsorship check to downtown business owner and president of the Downtown Claremore Merchant Association, Sheila Giannelli in support of this season’s Food Truck Thursdays.  Claremore Mainstreet Director, Jessica Jackson (far left) will use the funds for the operational costs of the event dates.  Reiss and Alyson Short (far right) are members of the Healthy Living Program staff at Volunteers for Youth.

The TSET Healthy Living Program provided sponsorship dollars recently for the Claremore Mountain Bike Trail and Claremore Mainstreet’s Food Truck Thursdays. A $3,600 contribution toward trail signage will include Entrance, Directional and Trailhead signs at the 13-mile Claremore Mountain Bike Trail nestled along the eastern side of Claremore Lake. The trailhead and directional signs will update current markers which are symbols painted on trees. The signs will feature maps, rules, usage guidelines and the Shape Your Future and/or TSET logos. The new Entrance sign will feature a newly-designed logo/image for the trail.

A $750 sponsorship for Food Truck Thursdays will support Claremore Main Street in the operation of the six event dates (May 31, June 28, July 26, August 30, September 27, October 25) in downtown Claremore. The food truck and shopping festival features live music, food trucks, late shopping, themed activities, kids zone, and physical fitness opportunities. Approximately 1200-2500 people attend each event.
