Claremore Alumni Association Awards $6000 in Scholarships

Twelve Claremore High School students will benefit from those that came before them.  Each student will receive a $500 scholarship to fund educational expenses towards their post secondary education.  These students were nominated and voted on by the current staff at Claremore High School based on their Zebra spirit, school and community involvement, academic efforts, work habits, and leadership ability.

This year’s recipients are Maxee Alexander, Kassidy Hannah, Josie Switala, Katie Jo Moseley, Ariel Egelston, Emerson Jones, Quincy McSpadden, Jack Meisinger, Kayla Shisler, Copper Price, Sarah LaValley, and Casey Hatfield.

This Alumni Scholarship is funded through individual donations from alumni. However, graduating classes, have stepped up to sponsor scholarships.  Last year the Class of 2016 funded a scholarship for ten years as their senior gift. Other classes have started individual campaigns to fund a scholarship for their class.  Anyone interested in investing in the legacy of Claremore High School students through a scholarship can contact Dave Burrows at dburrows@burrowsagency.com or 918.341.2196.
