Big Fat List of Veterans Day Freebies

veterans-day-free-meals-discountsVeterans Day is drawing near (Friday, November 11), so we have done our best to compile a list of freebies. *Note that the 2016 list has not been released, so please call any restaurant to make sure it is participating.

Applebee’s: On Friday, November 11th, from open to close, veterans and active duty military can choose from a free signature Thank You Meal menu that includes some of Applebee’s favorite items, including a 7 oz. House Sirloin, The American Standard All-In Burger, Three-Cheese Chicken Penne, Fiesta Lime Chicken, Double Crunch Shrimp, Chicken Tenders Platter or Oriental Chicken Salad. Must present valid Veteran’s form of identification or be in uniform.

Chili’s Grill & Bar: Veterans and active-duty military receive a free meal from a special Veterans Day menu on November 11. Must show proof of military service.

Denny’s: Stop by Denny’s on Friday, November 11, 2016, and all active, non-active, and retired military personnel can get a free build-your-own Grand Slam from 5:00 AM to 12:00 PM. All Denny’s locations are participating in this promotion and you’ll just need to bring a valid military ID along with you. This is for dine-in only.

Golden CorralMonday, November 14th, from 5 PM to 9 PM get a free Veterans Day buffet and beverage to any veteran who has served in the United States military or is a current active duty service member. All Golden Corral locations will be participating. No identification is required to get your free Veterans day meal.

Hooters: Hooters invites all veterans and current servicemen and women to a free meal, up to $10.99 in value with any drink purchase, by presenting a military ID or proof of service at any Hooters location across the country.  Offer valid 11/11/16.

IHOP: On Veteran’s Day, November 11, participating IHOP Restaurants around the nation will be honoring the brave men and women who have served, or are serving, in the United States Military by offering them free Red, White and Blue pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. At some locations, the Red, White and Blue pancakes will be featured as part of a free combo plate including eggs, bacon and hash browns

Krispy Kreme: Offering a free doughnut and small coffee to all those served or currently are serving on Veterans Day. A free doughnut and small coffee will be given to anyone who identifies themselves as a veteran or active duty military personnel (no ID required). Only at participating locations.

Longhorn Steakhouse: Service members receive a complimentary Texas Tonion appetizer and non-alcohol beverage on Friday, Nov. 11. Includes veterans and current service members.

Olive Garden: All veterans and military active duty will receive a free meal from a special menu on Veterans Day.

On the Border: This Veterans Day, all veterans and active duty military will receive, for free OTB’s “Create Your Own Combo menu,” on Friday, November 11, 2016.

Outback Steakhouse: All active, retired military and veterans get a Free Bloomin’ Onion® and a beverage on Veterans Day. Must have valid identification.

Red Lobster: Service members past and present receive a complimentary appetizer from a special menu.  Proof of service required.

Red RobinVeterans and active duty military can stop into Red Robin on Friday, November 11, to get a free Red’s Tavern Double burger and Bottomless Steak Fries. Be sure to bring your military ID to take advantage of this Veterans Day freebie. Not all locations are participating, so it’s best to call ahead to make sure your local Red Robin will be offering this free meal. (The Owasso location has participated the past two years.)

Spaghetti Warehouse: Spaghetti Warehouse is honoring veterans with a special “buy one entree, get one free” coupon offer and is encouraging its guests to “invite a veteran to lunch or dinner”. Beginning Nov. 4th, the coupon will be available online on Spaghetti Warehouse’s website.

Starbucks: Get your caffeine buzz for free at Starbucks, which is offering tall brewed coffee for vets, active military members and their spouses.

Texas Roadhouse: Select from a free special veterans lunch menu including a beverage and sides on Nov. 11, 2016.

Now, I also heard from a reliable veteran friend that on Friday, Arby’s will give veterans a free roast beef sandwich (to-go, even!) and Charlie’s Chicken will give a 3-chunk dinner (to-go, even!).
