Claremore Podiatry is collecting socks!
It seems that everyone does blanket drives and coat drives this time of year, but Claremore Podiatry is staying true to feet and hosting a tread sock drive for the Claremore Veterans Center. There are currently 302 patients, and the facility would like to have 100 pairs of tread socks for the Alzheimer’s unit. Tread socks are those that have the grippers on the bottom, like you get when you’re a hospital patient.
Where to buy tread socks? You can find them on Amazon or purchase from a medical supplier. I suppose you could check into the hospital and get a free pair, but I don’t recommend that. Or you can donate some cash to Claremore Podiatry, and they can order them from one of their contacts.
Donations can be made until December 19, and all you have to do is drop off your socks or cash at Claremore Podiatry, located at 1218 N. Florence Ave.
