Looking for more awe-inspiring places to visit in the great state of Oklahoma? Take a look at these 15 beautiful places that you might want to add to your “destination” list:
1. Mount Scott, located in the Wichita Mountains, is one of Oklahoma’s most prominent mountains.
3. Take in the magnificent scenery along the 54 miles of Talimena Scenic Highway, located in Southeastern OK. Don’t forget to allow time to enjoy the historic towns along the way.
4. Hello Pops! Before stepping inside this Route 66 landmark diner and gas station, check out the 66 foot giant pop bottle outside. Quench your thirst with the over 600 ice-cold soda and beverage options.
5. The Wichita Mountains, located in the southwestern portion of OK, is not only a wildlife refuge, but a favorite hiking and rock-climbing spot.
6. Here at Natural Falls State Park, you will find the cascading waterfalls that were filmed in the movie “Where The Red Fern Grows.”
7. If you love crimson and cream and can shout boomer sooner, nothing beats the view at Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. If you’re an orange wearing cowboy, you might prefer to stay in Stillwater.
8. Take an afternoon and visit the tropical side of Oklahoma at the Myriad Botanical Gardens, located in Oklahoma City. Enjoy the urban park or the foliage inside the conservatory.
9. Oklahoma City SkyDance Bridge was architecturally inspired by the state’s bird, the scissor-tailed flycatcher. The pedestrian bridge is 380 feet long and the sculpture stands 197 feet tall. Try and catch it at night to see the stunning LED lights that change colors.
10. Enjoy cold water all year round at Little Niagara on Travertine Creek. This popular swimming hole is a fun and cooling place during the hot Oklahoma summers.
11. Philbrook Museum is a famous fine arts museum, located in Tulsa, OK. The outside gardens are just as impressive as the artwork on the inside. Bring your camera to capture the meticulously maintained gardens.
12. The Azalea Festival is one of the nation’s finest springtime attractions. The festival is located in historic Muskogee, OK inside Honor Heights Park.

15. The Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum is a place of tragedy and healing for Oklahomans. April 19, 1995 is a day we will never forget….we honor those who lost their lives, the loved ones that were affected and those who survived.
