moreClaremore’s Happy “TWO” Year!

When my daughter was little, every New Year’s she would scream “Happy TWO Year!” instead of “Happy New Year”.

July 11th is moreClaremore.com’s 2nd birthday. I still haven’t figured out if it’s a birthday or anniversary. Kind of a birthday, because I feel like it is one of my babies. Kind of an anniversary because I feel like I’m married to it.

Happy TWO Year!

Screen Shot 2015-07-12 at 4.01.22 PMIt has been a lot of work, and a lot of fun. I am happy that Robert and I took a chance and are seeing it pay off. Working with Ashley Orf and Travis Peck has made my life better. They both love Claremore as much as Robert and I do.

The past two years have evolved. Robert and I used to go to meetings and talk to Claremore folks about what we wanted this website to be and they would just sit and give us a blank look.   It was a hard concept to take in initially.

cakeNow however, people are bringing events, stories, and writings to us to get out to the community. We have over 18,000 followers on our Facebook page. None of these are bought “likes”. They are all from our local Green Country area. We reach over 60,000 people per week on Facebook alone!

We have had the opportunity to work with the Claremore Expo, Musician’s Haven and RSU to start the West Bend Green Block Parties. (The next one is July 21st; hopefully it doesn’t get rained out this time).

Ashley’s moreWeekly segments are gaining quite the following. I’m sure she will be signing autographs soon.

Our community calendar is stuffed full of local events and opportunities

We’ve accomplished quite a bit in the past two years.

Happy NEW Year!

Things are moving forward for moreClaremore. We have just purchased the building at 115 N. Missouri to make our permanent moreClaremore.com home.

Renovations are coming right along and we welcome you to stop by to see the progress any time.

We’ve added Mark Friedel to our team to contribute content.

The opportunity is bright. New Year’s is always a fresh start with hopes and goals of what you can tackle in the next year. With the move to our new building soon, it kind of feels like New Year’s too.

Thank you for the love and support you’ve shown to my baby/spouse. We look forward to many more years of serving the town we love.
