Earthquake Felt in Claremore

Screen Shot 2015-07-27 at 2.03.48 PMTwo earthquakes shook northeast Oklahoma on Monday, July 27. Both originated six miles north of Crescent, Oklahoma, in Logan County. The first was recorded at 12:49p and registered as a 4.0; the second was at 1:12p and was a 4.5, according to the U.S. Geological Survey and the Oklahoma Geological Survey.

 

People have said they felt the quake in Claremore, Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Tahlequah, Stillwater, Weleetka…even as far away as Wichita.
