In November, Will Rogers Housing Partners LP purchased the Will Rogers Apartments at 422 W Will Rogers Blvd, a structure listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The owner has planned a $2.4 million rehabilitation project, named Will Rogers Lofts, that will include modernizing the look and efficiency of the apartments and common areas while maintaining the historic elements of this local treasure. The plans include creating more amenities for residents, such as a new theater room, workout facility, shuffle board, while preserving the historic radium baths on the 6th floor. Other improvements include repointing the brick, replacing the windows, and repairing deteriorated architectural features.
The owner anticipates completing the improvements in the summer of 2016 with 35 1-bedroom units and 3 2-bedroom units. The facility is currently senior housing, but the owner plans to remove the age restriction for new tenants after the project is complete.

Wonderful news!
They better not tear it down!! I’ll be heartbroken.
Are they jacking the prices up on the current senior tenants or leaving them alone, permanently?
I like how it looks now though.
