Big news from Claremore this week….a new trail system is coming! It will be 12 miles and constructed for cyclists and pedestrians. It will start in Claremore and end near the Hard Rock Casino.
Residents have been making noise for a while about the city not being walkable (or rideable). That is going to change! Construction on the trail will begin next summer. The federal government will pay for 80 percent of the million-dollar project.
Claremore’s Jessica Wilbourn, an avid runner and cyclist, said, “Citizens are really trying to get together and focus on our health and set goals for ourselves, so this is super exciting.”

Chelsea Hartsock. Time to get us some bikes. We might have a 24 mile down and back trail 🙂
Where is the federal government gonna get the money? Lol 19 trillion in debt!
LOL! Thanks for the “Avid runner and cyclist”, Ashley! I owe you one for making me sound good!
