Claremore Girl Scouts at the Christmas Parade
Are you interested in learning more about Girl Scouts? Now is your chance! There will be a Girl Scout Rally on Thursday, August 25, at 6p. The rally will be at First Christian Church in Claremore, 200 E. 5th St.
Come find out what troops are doing! There will be displays for you to see, and leaders will be on hand to answer questions. There are a couple of local troops that are learning S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and are in Lego Leagues. Others work on badges, go camping, do archery & canoeing. There are many individual and troop activities like Powder Puff Derby, Daddy/Daughter Dance, Astronomy, Thin Mint Glow Run, Drillers/Roughnecks Sleepover and other fun stuff.
If you are interested in volunteering, the troops are really in need of leaders, too. Without wonderful leaders, girls are put on a waiting list and are unable to do these fun things. New leaders will be trained, so don’t worry about that. They’ll even feed you at the monthly meetings, and you’ll get to attend a leader retreat in April.
