As a girl who basically grew up in one of Claremore’s first boutiques (now The District on Main), Madison Todd knows a lot about both fashion and business. Having just completed her freshman year at University of Arkansas, Madison is now headed for a new school where she can chase her dream of a degree in fashion management and marketing: Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Savannah, Georgia.
Madison has also started her own business. It started on a family vacation to San Francisco, when her mom, Susan, paid “entirely too much” for a cork coaster. Madison joked that she could make her own coasters that were cuter and more cost efficient. So that’s what she did!
Madison Avenue Collections is offering cork coasters, both online and at The District on Main. The coasters are laser-engraved, so they won’t wear out. Madison is the creator behind the cute sayings and inspirational quotes that grace the tops. She currently has three lines available: Faith, Sentiments, and Spirits. They are available for purchase for $6 each, so you can design your own set. These make GREAT gifts for holidays, birthdays, or any other occasion!
Next on Madison’s agenda is expanding to customizable coasters, which would be ideal for a restaurant or bar, a winery, or even weddings and other large special events. She will also be adding tumblers, mugs, and more to her product inventory soon.
