Learn How to Run for Free, Claremore!

The spring session of RoCo Fit begins in March! This is a fun, FREE Couch-to-5k walk/run program. All fitness levels are welcome, whether you’re just getting in to walking or are a seasoned runner. The group meets at Claremore Lake on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6p. It’s a really fun program!

An informational meeting will be held on March 6 at 6p at NTC – Claremore. Learn what it’s all about!

The first session will be held on March 21; it’s going to be at the Claremore High School track, and all you have to do is run one mile, just to start tracking your progress. Workouts officially begin on March 23 at Claremore Lake. The season runs for 12 weeks.

On June 6, you’ll return to the track to run one mile, to see how far you’ve come! Then a mock 5k will be held on June 8 at the lake. It’s a graduation run, of sorts! It is free and open to the public. Then the official graduation will be held on June 12 at NTC – Claremore.

Must be 13 year or older and must register by 3rd week of session (strollers are welcome).

Register online at www.rocofit.org or register at the Info meeting, Pre-Mile, or email/call Renetta Harrison at renettah@health.ok.gov or 918-341-3166 with any questions.
