Now, they do the occasional food drive, and it’s the easiest thing ever! Meals on Wheels (and others, like the Rogers County Mounted Patrol) post up at the Claremore Walmart. They hand out shopping lists of which items they need, including prices. When you go in to grab your own groceries, it’s easy to pick up a few items from the list, then hand them off when you exit the store.
The food drive will be held on Saturday, March 31, from 8a – 3p.
Now, if you aren’t shopping that day, you can still help! We’ve got the whole list here, and you can pick up items at your leisure and drop them off at Meals on Wheels at 715 McClellan St. in Claremore. It’s just behind the Episcopal church on Sioux Ave.
