Whether you celebrate Lent or not, this is a great idea! Lent begins on March 1 and lasts for 40 days. For each day, choose one item in your household to discard, and put it in a bag. At the end of the 40 days, donate it to a local thrift store (we have three in downtown Claremore alone!) or organization such as Salvation Army or Goodwill.
This is a great way to clear out some clutter and not get overwhelmed!
