The Claremore Coldwell Banker Select office has teamed up with the folks over at Grant Gingerich‘s State Farm office in Claremore and, together, we became Partners in Education with Justus-Tiawah Public Schools.
I genuinely enjoyed getting to read to all of these kids today for Read Across America week: a week dedicated to books and their respective authors and characters.
I was really nervous about reading to the junior high kids. But I’ve never met a more respectful group of young adults. It just reinforced my decision in starting this program. These kids are our future and I am proud and excited to have the opportunity to watch them succeed.
All of the kids were awesome. And it’s really no surprise. They are guided by and cared for by a faculty and staff that lead by example and know each student, individually; and respect them as they expect to be respected.
I learned about Partners in Education just recently in my Leadership Rogers County class. It’s an amazing program that matches local businesses with local schools.
The program is as symbiotic as it is innovative and wonderful. It’s a long-term partnership with a collective focus on our youth. If any of my business owner friends are interested in learning more about becoming a Partner in Education (or getting enrolled in Leadership Rogers County), let me know.
