Joe Kays is a legend at the City of Claremore; he’s been with the city since his college days in 1986, when he worked part time swinging a weed-eater. Today, he serves as the Director of Parks and Recreation. But more importantly, today he turns the big FIVE-OH. So if you see Joe out and about, be sure to make an “old man” joke, crack a quip about him being over the hill, or ask to see his shiny new AARP card.
In all seriousness, just wish Joe a very happy birthday (it’s actually May 13). He’s a great guy and he deserves a great day! Also, I had nothing to do with this. Pretty much.
