Like most folks, I struggle with my weight and bemoan the fact that I’m not thinner or more fit. (As I sit here and ponder the pizza menu for today’s lunch.) But Claremore has a new business that can help with that struggle, and it’s handily located in NeMar Center. 6:19 Nutrition is in the former CherryBerry shop.
6:19 Nutrition is owned by Mykah and Alex Rolison, and the couple has the same goal: Get people healthy. Whether a client wants to gain weight, shed pounds, or just get healthier, the plan is to help people by giving them hope, health and wellness, while creating a community of “Claremore Fit”.
The big draw for 6:19 Nutrition is their expansive menu of meal-replacement shakes and teas. The protein shakes are a healthy meal replacement, and contain all kinds of good stuff for your body, like Vitamins A, C, D and E, zinc, calcium, iron, potassium and plenty more. You’re probably thinking, “Wow, I’m sure that’s delicious. Not.” But they really are. As a person who’s not a big fan of veggies and all that “good for you” stuff, I was skeptical. But these shakes come in flavors like Butter Pecan, Peanut Butter Banana, Cookies & Cream, and Peanut Butter Cup (that’s what I had, and it was fabulous). A shake is $6 and contains the same amount of protein as three eggs. That’s a great deal for an entire meal.
If you’re thirsty, 6:19 Nutrition offers a variety of refreshing, energy-boosting teas in flavors such as Skittles, Chai and Cherry Limeade. These sell for $2. Also, you can purchase a shake and tea combo and get both for just $7. That’s like a meal AND a drink! Also, if you check in on social media and let the team know, you’ll save an extra buck. If you’re almost hooked but not quite, you can buy a three-day trial for $20, which includes both shakes and supplements.
Supplements are another big product for 6:19 Nutrition. Not only are there several options, like fish oil, multivitamins and joint support, they are a much higher quality than you’ll find at your local store, ringing in as 99.9% pure, which is higher than the pharmaceutical grade. (The pills you can buy at your favorite discount store are 65 – 70% pure, just for comparison sake.) The “club”, as the owners affectionately call it, also carries skin care, supplements for both pre- and post-workout, as well as nutrition items for the entire body.
What makes 6:19 Nutrition unique is the community they are creating. It’s a healthy, positive environment for all, steeped in powerful leadership and strong personal development.
The club is also a fun, welcoming place to hang out. There’s a massive bar with stools so you can sit and watch your shake being made, and there are six TVs; it’s like a sports bar without the booze! (Although they do have jello shots – but they’re healthy!)
To celebrate their two-year anniversary, the club is hosting a weight loss challenge beginning the first week of August. To sign up, just stop in. You’ll receive a trial pack and have weight and measurements taken. There will be cash prizes awarded for the biggest body transformation! Entry fee is $25 and 20% of the proceeds will be used to buy school supplies for area teachers. The challenge will run until September 14.
Also, they will be partying for their anniversary on Friday, August 4, during the NeMar Center’s 50th birthday celebration from 6-9p. Stop by and try a sample of a shake or tea. There will also be giveaways, games, a DJ…maybe even dancing!
Stop by 6:19 Nutrition at NeMar for a yummy shake or a refreshing tea and be sure to check in! They open daily at 7a. Also remember to follow them on facebook to keep up with specials and exercise classes at the club. For more information, feel free to give them a call at (918) 283-4478.
