My name is Debbie Gunkel and I have worked in Claremore as a dental assistant for 36 years and taught yoga here for approximately 12 years.
The giving spirit of this community is what stands out to me. During my 7 years of being on the band booster board, I have seen businesses and individuals donate money and supplies to the Claremore band students again and again. Recently I have again witnessed the generous hearts of this community. Patrons, businesses, politicians, and University presidents have supported His House Outreach Ministries. “This ministry provides formerly incarcerated women with a safe home while they work on the transition process from prisoner to freedom” is written on the She Brews Coffee House menu. She Brews is another avenue that Claremore supports to help women. She Brews provide the ladies with a job, reliability, customer service skills, problem solving, and a future. Rhonda Bear could not run His House Ministries nor She Brews without number one, God’s help, and number two, this community!

“The best love is to serve all equally.” – Yogi Bhjan
Sincerely and Namaste,
Debbie Gunkel
