Claremore Folks are Giving Back!

My name is Debbie Gunkel and I have worked in Claremore as a dental assistant for 36 years and taught yoga here for approximately 12 years.
The giving spirit of this community is what stands out to me. During my 7 years of being on the band booster board, I have seen businesses and individuals donate  money and supplies to the Claremore band students again and again. Recently I have again witnessed the generous hearts of this community.  Patrons, businesses, politicians, and University presidents have supported His House Outreach Ministries. “This ministry provides formerly incarcerated women with a safe home while they work on the transition process from prisoner to freedom” is written on the She Brews Coffee House menu. She Brews is another avenue that Claremore supports to help women. She Brews provide the ladies with a job, reliability, customer service skills, problem solving, and a future. Rhonda Bear could not run His House Ministries nor She Brews without number one, God’s help, and number two, this community!
I proudly work for Oakwood Family Dentistry, Dr. Tygran Pahlevanyan (AKA Dr. Pahle), who was given the award, by Rhonda Bear, of “MOST GENEROUS SMILE MAKER” for his compassion and hunger to help the less fortunate by donating his skill and time as a dentist to lessen their pain and have a smile to boost their self confidence as they transition to the working world. I myself donate my time by teaching the ladies yoga, the wonderful Dr. Kyle Hrdlicka donates the yoga room as well as use of all the yoga props at Fitness Time For Ladies every Sunday afternoon. inspires me to be active in our community through their constant updates of what is happening in our town! Claremore equals giving hearts.
