The Northeast Tech campus in Pryor opened a brand-new rescue training facility this week. It’s the only center of its kind in this part of the country; the nearest one is in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house capped off a very special day for Northeast Tech.
The training center is utilized by industry professionals and local firefighters. Training is provided for various safety procedures and allow students to practice scenarios involving rope rescue, confined space rescue, team and individual rescue, and more. Built entirely of shipping containers, the center features crawl spaces and tunnels throughout, allowing the most accurate training possible.
