Claremore Trail Concert was….

We hate to tell you this, but if you weren’t at the Trail Concert last weekend, you missed out!
The Claremore Chapter of the Oklahoma Earthbike Fellowship, the Claremore Collective and Musician’s Haven hosted an amazing event at the Claremore Mountain Bike Trails on Happy Lake this past Saturday.
Bike, Hike and Kayak. People came on two feet, two wheels or paddled up to the lake side show. Everyone brought blankets, coolers, towels and enjoyed a picnic at the newly created outdoor makeshift amphitheater. Did I mention the stage was floating on the lake? Oh also that! I can’t express how awesome it was, people.
The short quarter mile walk, or ride, from the trailhead wasn’t difficult and the gorgeous weather and wooded surroundings were a peaceful setting for some fantastic music.
It had the feeling of a family get together without those annoying cousins you don’t really care for much. A real relaxed vibe with people of all ages, sizes and fitness levels. Some people chilled in their kayaks others set up hammocks and just kicked back.
Musician’s Haven director Sarah Fiegener said, “We are excited to partner with local organizations to host creative, unique experiences that are memorable not only for the artists who collaborate, but also the audience!”
Bands included Autumn Shade, The Lonelys, and Dane Arnold and The Soup. A twist of folk rock and adult contemporary that was easy on the ears.
Attendee and former collective member, Jake Krumwiede said, “This is such an awesome example of a successful partnership in the community. Volunteers from the Claremore Mountain Bike Trail through the City of Claremore’s Parks and Recreation department come together to clean up the trails, Musician’s Haven helps bring in the music and runs the sound system, while Claremore Collective coordinates and hosts the event. It’s great synergy. Together, we can continue to make Claremore an awesome place to be.”
This event will happen again and, based on the nearly 100 people, will continue to grow from year to year. If you are not an active member of the Claremore Collective, check them out online at ClaremoreCollective.com or follow them on the Claremore Collective Facebook page. Join the fun and help grow Claremore from the inside out!
