Holidays are upon us and dollar bills are about to be flying out of your wallet, am I right? But don’t worry, there are plenty of items that you can buy at your local dollar store to save you some bucks.
Before we start, let me say that Dollar Tree is a great place to let kids choose gifts. One of my favorite traditions that we started a couple of years ago is taking my young child to the dollar store and letting him buy gifts for everyone on his list. It’s fun because you never know what he’ll choose, and the recipients are delighted that he thought of them, even if the gift is silly. I know my father-in-law doesn’t mind getting a bottle of tire cleaner every year!
Wrapping supplies! Seriously, you can get a roll of wrapping paper for one dollar. Sure, it’s smaller than other places, but still gets plenty of gifts covered. You can also buy gift bags and tissue paper. Why spend $5 more on something that’s going to get thrown into the fireplace anyway? Also I just bought gift tags at the Dollar Tree this weekend; I got 104 of them for ONE DOLLAR.
Picture frames are another item that’s easy to pick up at the dollar store. A lot of folks give family portraits as gifts, and buying 10 frames can get expensive.
Stocking stuffers are easy to come by at the dollar store. They’ve got everything from socks and nail polish to candy and toys. You can find some trinkets for everyone on your list!
If you’re like me, you do a lot of baking for friends and family during the holidays. The dollar store has tons of plastic trays and metal tins that are perfect for loading up with sweet treats.
Speaking of baking, did you know that you can get disposable bakeware at Dollar Tree? These are great for when you’re either behind on the dishes or if you’re taking a dish to a holiday party. This way you don’t have to worry about getting your dish back!
