Happy holidays! This month is a fine time to visit the Will Rogers Library to read books about friendship. For young readers, When We’re Together by Claire Freedman is a sweet book about friendship and family with cute animal illustrations by Jane Chapman. It can be found in the Early Readers section of the Will Rogers Library.
For chapter book readers a new series, Girls Who Code: The Friendship Code by Stacia Deutsch might be a fun choice. In this book Lucy is looking forward to joining a new coding club at school so that she can develop her app idea but is faced with a lukewarm reception from the club’s other members. Solving friendship challenges may be tougher than solving coding challenges! This book can be found in the Juvenile Fiction section of the library.
Feel free to ask the librarians for help in finding books or for book recommendations. Be sure to check out the New Books shelf for adults, too!
