Owasso resident and RSU student Lacey Stout will compete on the Food Network…but it’s not what you think. Stout will be a contestant on the 12th season of ‘Worst Cooks in America.’
Stout is notorious in her family for every dish being a failure. She’s done everything from burn meals to serve undercooked chicken; she even has trouble with toast. She laughs about it now and has accepted it as just part of who she is.
But now she’ll get a chance to redeem herself. The show features 16 contestants from all over the country. They each will complete a set of challenges to see who can most improve their kitchen skills. The contestant who makes the most progress will receive a $25,000 prize. Stout vows that if she wins, she will donate a portion of her winnings to foster care and homeless programs, two causes she is passionate about.
‘Worst Cooks in America’ debuts on the Food Network on Sunday, January 7, at 8p CST. The season ends on March 11. Tune in to watch a local gal and cheer her on! Let’s go, Lacey!
