CPSF Brainiac Brawl 2018 in the Books

It was a quizzical night of laughs, community and fundraising at the 2018 Claremore Public Schools Foundation’s Brainiac Brawl.

Despite the icy weather it was another successful event! A little freezing drizzle didn’t keep many away from this wonderful evening. A sell out crowd of 37 tables (8 people per) filled the Claremore Conference Center for the largest Brainiac Brawl yet.

Some teams competed in costumes ranging from Ninja Turtles to Pirates. A silent auction included over 60 items and a brief live auction pitted OU and OSU fans against one another for some school pride.

Hammett House catered the event and did not disappoint per usual. They served up smoked salmon, spare ribs, bacon wrapped tenderloin and plenty of meats, cheeses, fruits and veggies for all. There was an entire table of dessert, yum.

LoliPop: A Sweet Boutique stocked and restocked a bar full of candy keeping everyone all sugared up. Patrick Gotcher was the MC and kept the party rolling smoothly.

The teams competed in 6 rounds ranging from Potpourri to Science and Math. The trivia began around 7PM and after one round everyone was feeling fairly confident in their mental abilities. As the rounds came and went, the field separated and the big brains of team Kranium KrusherZ, representing First Christian Church, found themselves standing alone atop the field.

The KrusherZ managed to answer 69 of the 72 questions correctly giving them the win and the traveling trophy.

The Foundation raised over $20,000 for education and is already planning for next year!
