Claremore Couple Opens Liquor Store

Ryan and Kit Kelley, lifelong Claremore residents, will open the door on Monday, June 18, to Claremore’s newest liquor store. The Barrel House is located at 222 N. Lynn Riggs, directly across Route 66 from Planet Fitness. Formerly a chiropractic office, the Kelleys have completely renovated the space.

The couple has always wanted to own their own business. Ryan’s grandparents are the proprietors of Big Country Liquor in Stillwater, so it seemed like a logical plan. Ryan will run the daily operations at The Barrel House and is looking forward to serving the residents of Claremore. Her goal is to offer the best customer service possibly, and make sure that everyone feels comfortable and welcome. She’s excited to offer suggestions or advice if customers have questions. “We will treat everyone like family,” Ryan said.

The Kelleys are determined to carry a lot of local merchandise; Oklahoma wine is on the way. They currently have Oilfire, Leadslingers whiskey, and Scissor Tail, which are all Oklahoma products. Of course, they carry all of the popular top brands, as well. They can even special order items if you have a request.

The Barrel House will be open Monday – Saturday from 10a – 9p. However, come October 1, the liquor laws will change statewide, and there are great updates coming for Oklahoma. Liquor store hours can be extended, and chilled wine and beer will be available for purchase. Additionally, stores will be able to sell non-alcoholic items, such as soda, snacks, and souvenirs.
