RSU Student Sets New School Record

Baffour Kyem set a new Rogers State University school record and set an NCAA DII provisional distance jump at the Southwestern Christian University Paul Parent Invitational.

Kyem won the triple jump, clearing a distance of 14.91 meters or 48 feet, 11 inches. Kyem’s cleared distance broke his own school record by 1.37 meters.

The jump, which ranks 13th best in the NCAA also cleared the Division II Provisional distance of 14.66 meters, making him eligible for the NCAA Outdoor National Championships.

Kyem and the rest of the Hillcats will be back in action on April 12-13, running in the Wichita State hosted KT Woodman Classic.
