Did You Know that Claremore has a Flower Farm?

Made in Oklahoma Highlight: Wild Lark Farm

Small business owner Terri Barr is bringing a piece of the Pacific Northwest to Oklahoma through her specialty flower farm.

Barr is the owner of Wild Lark Farm, which is a small, seasonal cut flower farm focused on growing specialty and heirloom flowers and foliage. Wild Lark Farm gives customers the opportunity to purchase seasonal bouquets or bulk buckets of flowers for events.

Barr said she had the idea to start the business after a trip to the Pacific Northwest, where she experienced learning about incredible flower farms.

“It began after a trip to the Pacific Northwest,” Barr said. “I saw amazing flower fields, and I was able to talk with some incredible farmers. I saw how much people really enjoyed locally sourced products, and I wanted to take that experience and bring it back to Oklahoma.”

Because the flowers are typically harvested the night before delivery, customers enjoy the added freshness Wild Lark Farm offers, Barr said.

“They also love that we are seasonal, so when they get our flowers, they know that they are getting the best of what the season has to offer,” Barr added.

Barr said people can expect to see a variety of different flowers when the farm is open, and Wild Lark Farm is planning to host several “Pick-Your-Own” sessions throughout the growing season.

“I love being able to share the beauty I see every day in the fields with others through the making of bouquets, or putting together orders for special events,” Barr said. “Even being able to share photos of what’s going on at the farm on Instagram makes me happy.”

Wild Lark Farm is located 40 minutes northeast of Tulsa in Claremore, Okla., and their primary goal is provide quality local flowers to the people of Northeastern Oklahoma. For more information regarding Wild Lark Farm, visit www.wildlarkfarm.com or follow Wild Lark Farm on Instagram and Facebook.
