PAINT THE TOWN: A new addition to RSU Homecoming Week!

Rogers State University will welcome alumni, friends and Hillcats fans of all ages to Claremore next semester for the 12th annual homecoming. Public events will be held February 10-15, 2020.

Activities for students, alumni and the public will take place throughout the week. Gameday celebration will include family-friendly activities held at the Claremore Expo Center where the basketball games will be played. All pre-game activities are free and open to the public.

“We hope many from the Claremore area as well as our campus community will join us during the week-long homecoming celebration,” said RSU President Dr. Larry Rice. “Homecoming is a great way for graduates of RSU and all predecessor institutions to reconnect with the university.”

RSU is a member of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA). The homecoming games take place during conference competition on Saturday, Feb. 15 as the Hillcats face off against Washburn University. The women’s team tips off at 2 p.m. with the men’s game following at 4 p.m. The games will feature senior day recognition for both men’s and women’s basketball teams. The 2020 RSU Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned during halftime of the men’s game.

“We are very excited to be a part of this long-standing tradition at RSU,” said RSU Athletics Director Chris Ratcliff. “We hope that RSU alumni along with our students and local community will turn out to celebrate the university and support our teams.”

A full schedule of the week’s activities will be published later this month.
