Win a Chance to ‘Stuff Your Freezer!’

Claremore Reveille Rotary president, Bill Hooker, with Justus-Tiawah third grade class

Rotary International’s motto is “Service Above Self” and Claremore Reveille Rotary’s mission is to serve the youth in Rogers County. The Claremore Reveille Rotary’s annual dictionary project just completed its 20th year! Each year, the club provides a new, personalized dictionary for every third grader in Rogers County. Club members hand deliver more than 625 dictionaries to seven schools and are on site to present them to students, when able. “It is an honor to provide dictionaries to these students,” said Bill Hooker, president. “To see their eyes light up when they discover their name is on the inside cover is heartwarming!” Reveille is proud of this project and members enjoy getting to spend a little time with the students each year.

This program is paid for through matching district grants from Rotary District 6110, annual club fundraisers, and through your generous donations, and it is always a success! Like many other non-profit organizations, Reveille’s fundraisers were canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic. Past events include Boots & BBQ and a massive smoked meat sale, both very successful, and all the proceeds helped with the dictionary program. Thinking outside the box and working with community partners, this year’s fundraiser is Stuff Your Freezer, a partnership between the local Rotary club and Walke Brothers Meat Company.

For a $5 donation, you will receive one entry for the chance to win a 1/4 beef package, that includes 80+ pounds of premium beef, a $500+ value! Chances are $5 each or 6 for $25; deadline for donations will be April 2, with the drawing April 5. Donations can be made HERE. Or visit www.claremorereveille.com for more information and the link.
