Callum Hubble Named GAC Defender of the Week

Rogers State men’s soccer’s Callum Hubble was named Great American Conference Defender of the Week.

Hubble was named the GAC Defender of the Week for the first time this year after his performance in the Hillcats game against Harding University.

Hubble made a pair of stops on the backline to help the Hillcats in their draw against Harding. The senior made a clean open field slide tackle in the penalty area to stop a scoring chance at goal. He stopped a second scoring opportunity with another open field tackle on a Harding player coming in from the wing to set up another potential Harding shot.

This first award Hubble has received since receiving an All-GAC Honorable Mention honors last season.

This is the 16th GAC Player of the Week award won by the men’s soccer program since joining the GAC last season.

Hubble and the rest of the Hillcats will be back in action on Saturday, welcoming in Fort Hays State to Soldier Field for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff.
