Congrats, Hillcats!

Rogers State men’s soccer was well represented on the Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association (D2CCA) All-Central Region Teams, the organization announced on Tuesday.

The Hillcats and Fort Hays State shared the honor of placing the most players on the two teams, with seven players representing each school.

Callum Hubble and Michael Turner received First Team honors after their spectacular seasons. First Team All-GAC/MIAA selection, Hubble finished with two goals, both game winners, and an assist in 18 games with 1,385 minutes played as a midfielder. Another First Team All-GAC/MIAA selection and two-time conference Defender of the Week, Turner anchored a Hillcat defense that led the league with a 0.85 goals against average and forced eight shutouts in 18 games with 1,614 minutes played. This is Turner’s second First Team All-Central Region honor of his career.

The Second Team featured Ruben Carrasco, Luke Morgan, Jaxon Pitt, Jaime Ponce and Jordan Watson. Carrasco was named Second Team All-GAC/MIAA, and finished the year with six goals and two assists in 18 games. Morgan was also named Second Team All-GAC/MIAA, and finished with a goal and two assists as a midfielder. Pitt was named First Team All-GAC/MIAA, and finished the season with six goals and four assist on the season as well as ranking fourth in assists in the conference and fifth in goals. Ponce was named Second Team All-GAC/MIAA, and finished with two goals and helped the league-leading defense with 1,389 minutes played in 16 games. This is Ponce’s second All-Central Region selection. Watson was also named Second Team All-GAC/MIAA, and finished with four goals and assists in 12 games. This is Watson’s second All-Central Region selection.
