A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at 11:00 p.m., at the Coweta First Baptist Church. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at the Inola Funeral Home, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Aurelia Faye Woodward passed away on July 23, 2022. She was 84 years old.
She was born to William Ray Denton and Emma Snowden Denton in Coweta, Oklahoma, on December 5th, 1937. Growing up, she attended Coweta Public Schools and graduated in the class of 1955. Shortly after high school, she met Wendell Woodward through a mutual friend and married on December 5th, 1958. The two settled down and created a life in Broken Arrow, Ok. Aurelia and Wendell were always heavily involved in the First Baptist Church in Broken Arrow. She had a love for taking care of children. She helped run the preschools in the Broken Arrow Baptist Church and also babysat most of those kids outside of school as well. Her house was always an open door to anyone who needed a place to stay. She always loved to cook for her family and her church family. Aurelia and Wendell made sure that they always took their kids and grandkids on a vacation once a year. Some of their favorite destinations were Colorado, California, and Florida. She loved her family wholeheartedly.
