Richard (Rick) Cortland Upton passed away on July 24th, 2022 he was 66 years old. Richard was born November 13, 1955, in Tulsa, OK to Fred and Darl Upton. Richard grew up in Inola and attended Inola Public Schools where he graduated in the class of 1974. He loved growing up on the farm working and being with his brothers. During his younger years he enjoyed racing motorcycles, fishing and hunting, rock climbing, snow skiing and water skiing. He also really loved golden retrievers. Shortly after high school Rick moved to Colorado Springs, CO to go off on his own and start working. He returned to Oklahoma in 1977. In 1986 Rick moved to Florida where he worked for Home Depot for 30 years as a kitchen designer. He was a master carpenter, loved building things and always had a project of some kind going. Rick was a “collector of things” – he could always see the value in something and how it could be used for a project. Richard met his wife Olga in Florida in 2015, married on November 13, 2017 and had several wonderful years together. Richard is preceded in death by his grandparents William And Mary Upton. He is survived by his wife, Olga Upton; father Fred Upton and stepmother Helen, and mother Darl Osborn; brothers Rusty Upton and wife Lisa, and Robert Upton and wife Keetra along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, a niece and a nephew.
