This fall, high school juniors and seniors at Claremore High School will have the chance to take technology classes that will help them earn a cybersecurity certificate.

The new offering is being made possible by Rogers State University that announced a partnership with Claremore High School in March to offer the concurrent cybersecurity certification.

RSU is offering tuition waivers for up to 18 credit hours per academic school year to high school juniors and seniors. This will provide high school students with the opportunity to complete the Cybersecurity Certificate while they are still in high school.

Claremore high school students had the chance to begin signing up for the program last spring.

Cybersecurity will be offered in addition to other STEM programs at Claremore High School including biomedical science, digital video editing, graphic design, pre-engineering and robotics.

Coming up tonight on FOX23 News at five and six we’ll introduce you to the educators who are making this possible at Claremore High School this fall.
