CLAREMORE, OK – The Claremore Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the return of a time-honored Claremore event, the Claremore Christmas parade! This year’s parade will take place on Saturday, December 9th, at 6:00 p.m.
The theme for this year’s parade is “All Aboard the Claremore Express.” Being that Claremore is a train town, the parade theme is the perfect opportunity to show our love for all things railroad! You can decorate your float as a caboose or choose to honor a classic film like Polar Express. Whichever route you choose to take, remember that Christmas lights are required on each entry. The Chamber will be giving away cash prizes for the following categories: Best Use of Decorated Lights, Best Use of Parade Theme, and Christmas Spirit Award.
“The Chamber considers it an honor to host such a beloved holiday tradition,” said Barby Myers, President & CEO of the Chamber. “We are excited to continue the traditional Claremore Christmas Parade to bring the community together during this magical season.”
Parade line-up will take place at the Claremore Expo Center parking lot and the parade will travel eastbound on Will Rogers Blvd., ending at Claremore First. Churches, business, civic organizations, car clubs, and more are invited to participate.
Applications are available now at Claremore.org on the events calendar or at the Chamber office, 419 W. Will Rogers Blvd., in historic downtown Claremore.
