Fall is in full swing and here in Claremore, that means that the holiday season is kicking off!
From Holiday happenings to lighting up the Lake Park, Claremore has plenty to be thankful for in November!

This month we will be celebrating Oklahoma’s favorite son, Will Rogers. This year would have
marked his 144th birthday. The Will Rogers Days Motion Picture Festival is an ideal way to honor the film star. The Will Rogers Memorial Museum will host the Will Rogers Motion Picture Festival from November 1st to November 4th. The festival will offer movies, lectures, workshops, food and fun for film buffs and fans alike. They will be honoring today’s movie makers during the Festival with contest submissions from around the world and celebrating the amazing movie career of Will Rogers. This is a ticketed event and admission fees will vary by event.

On Friday November 4th we will continue to celebrate Will Rogers with a Will Rogers Day Movie Parade. The parade will begin at 3pm and will start at the Expo Center and travel East down Will Rogers Blvd. For more information, visit willrogers.com.

On November 4th the Indian Women’s Pocahontas Club will do their part to celebrate Will Rogers with their annual “Hats off to Will” and Wreath Laying Ceremony. Festivities will take place at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum at 10am. Principal Chief Chuck Hoskins, Jr. of the Cherokee Nation will be the guest speaker and special entertainment will be provided by Jana Jae. To finish out the ceremony there will be a Hat Contest in honor of Betty Blake Rogers followed by Will’s favorite lunch, navy beans, cornbread and pie. This is free and open to the public so come out and celebrate with us!

On November 6th we will kick-off the holiday season with the 3rd Annual Down on Mainstreet
Holiday Open House. From 4pm-8pm visit our local shops on Main Street. There will be
shopping, bingo, eats, drinks, and prizes! Don’t miss the opportunity to support our local shop
owners on this wonderful night of fun.

Claremore’s Veterans Day parade will be Friday, November 10th starting at 11:11 am and will
route from the Claremore Expo Center to downtown Claremore. Join the community in paying
tribute to our men and women in the Armed Forces, for those who have served, are serving and honoring those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

November 11th is the Festival of Trees fundraiser benefitting Safenet Services, Inc. This event
which will take place at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is Safenet Services’ premiere fundraising initiative and helps to support their general operating funds. Tickets are required for this enchanted holiday event. To purchase your tickets, visit https://www.safenetservices.org/fotsafenet

Also, on November 11th is the first public shopping day for Rhea Lana’s Children’s Consignment
Holiday Event. This eight-day sale will take place at the Claremore Conference Center which is
located at 1400 W Country Club Rd. Shop thousands of children’s items at 70-90% off retail!
Expectant parent’s or parents looking for a bargain don’t want to miss out on this shopping

Starting on November 15th and running through December 15th, the Belvidere Mansion will be
decked out for the Christmas Holiday! Christmas at the Belvidere is a holiday attraction where
the entire mansion gets a dazzling holiday makeup. Stop in and create unforgettable holiday
memories with the family at the Belvidere Mansion in Claremore!

On November 17th we invite you to help support local businesses on Pink Friday! When you shop local, you are supporting local families and the community! We encourage you to participate in what has become known as Pink Friday and support the dreams of many small business owners in our community!

To get yourself in the holiday mood, make plans on November 17th and 18th to attend Dickens on the Boulevard. It is a Victorian-themed Christmas festival in historic downtown Claremore.
Beginning at 6 pm each evening, visitors will enjoy live stage entertainment, food, pictures with
Santa and more. A Victorian street dance will be held both nights of the event. Living window
displays will pepper the downtown area while an artisan village will feature living history
demonstrations. Visitors will be able to learn about life in the Victorian era while re-enactors
portraying blacksmiths, spinners, wood carvers, potters and more answer questions from the
crowd and sell their wares. Browse through the festive shops and decorated boutiques of
downtown Claremore or enjoy a Christmas-themed wagon ride through town. A living nativity, a costume contest and a saloon featuring sarsaparilla and water will all be available. Come and

In conjunction with Dickens on the Boulevard, the Claremore Museum of History will be hosting their 4th annual Reindeer games! There will be caroling, face painting, a balloon artist and of course Rosie the Reindeer will be on site! Bring the kids and enjoy and evening of fun at the MoH on November 17th and 18th from 6pm – 9pm.

We are excited to light up Claremore Lake Park again this year! Starting on November 22nd and running through January 6th, we encourage you to take a drive through Claremore Lake Park and enjoy the Christmas lights. The lights will turn on at 6pm and the park will close at 10pm nightly. There is no charge for this spectacular Claremore Lake Lights.

November also means that RSU basketball is back! Please come out and watch our Hillcats this
