Seifried to Speak at RSU’s Pi Sigma Alpha, Phi Alpha Theta Induction Ceremony

Oklahoma Senator and RSU alumna Ally Seifried will be the guest speaker at the induction ceremony for students in two of the university’s honor societies.

Slated for 7 p.m. Friday, March 1, in the Baird Hall Performance Studio, this event will serve as an
induction ceremony for students into the RSU chapters of Pi Sigma Alpha (the National Political Science Honor Society) and Phi Alpha Theta (the National History Honor Society).

To qualify for induction into Pi Sigma Alpha, students must have completed 10 or more hours of political science courses, including an upper-division course, with a minimum 3.0 GPA, and must have achieved an overall GPA placing them in the top third of their class.

To be inducted into Phi Alpha Teta, undergraduate students must complete a minimum of 12 semester hours in history, hold a minimum GPA of 3.1 in history and 3.0 overall. Graduate students should have completed a minimum of 12 semester hours toward their master’s degree in history, have a GPA of better than 3.5 and complete 30% of the institution’s program requirements for the master’s degree.

Seifried graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rogers State University with a degree in political science and was first elected to the Oklahoma Senate in 2022.
