Claremore has some fun events happening around town in August before the bell rings on the
first day of school and throughout the month. From National Night Out to a Fall Fashion Show,
we have something for everyone!
The 2 Hip Chicks Roadshow will be back to a two-day event this year! On August 2nd and 3rd we invite you to the Claremore Expo to show till you drop! Ladies this is the perfect time to come and shop in 30,000 square feet of indoor, air-conditioned space. On Friday the doors will be open from 4p until 8p and Saturday from 10a until 5p. There will be repurposed, chippy, rusty, boutiques, kid’s boutiques, farmhouse, décor, and sooo much more. Admission is $5 at the door.
The Claremore Expo Center will also host the Hunter Jumper SummerFest II, on August 3rd and 4th. The divisions in which the show participants compete, is simply amazing. This event is held inside the indoor arena and it is free to watch.
On August 6th, The Claremore Police Department along with Volunteers for Youth and the
Healthy Community Partners will be hosting the Back to School Bash at National Night Out.
This family event will take place at the Claremore Lake Park from 6:30pm – 8:30pm. There will
be several family friendly activities and many local organizations will be on hand with free
school supplies and family resource information!
The annual Will Rogers-Wiley Post Fly-In is August 10th at the Will Rogers Birthplace Ranch. Starting at 7:30am and featuring approximately100 planes flying in to join in the fun. There will be food trucks, classic cars and activities for the entire family. The pilot’s welcome folks to come for an up-close look at the planes, ask questions and enjoy the Fly-In; it is free!
The last Indoor Flea Market for this year will be August 17th inside the Claremore Expo Center! Admission is free to come enjoy the air conditioning while shopping a variety of vendors. Doors are open 8am – 3pm. For booth information, please call the expo office at 918-342-5357.
Get your tickets and join us on Saturday, August 24th at 320 on Main for the Fashion Show and
Fall Shopping Preview! This fun event will feature downtown boutiques and shops with guest
speaker Leah Hughes – Miss Claremore. Brunch is included in the ticket price and there will be
door prizes and swag bags for those in attendance. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at
Sailor Antiques, Thrift Harbor and The Same Page!
Also, don’t forget about the Rogers County Farmer’s Market which is every Saturday in the
parking lot of the Rogers County Court House from 7am to 11am.
