RSU Mental Wealth Day
Rogers State University’s Community Counseling and Psychology Student Association (CCPSA) will host its Fifth annual Mental Wealth Day Thursday, October 30th, 2014, in the Centennial Center on the RSU campus in Claremore. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
The event’s goal is to promote mental health and wellness in the community. Participants will learn about resources, careers and educational opportunities in the fields of Mental Health, Criminal Justice and Social Science. Participants also will have the opportunity to participate in personal and professional development seminars.
In addition, RSU Counseling Services and volunteers from Grand Lake Mental Health Center will provide mental health screenings for RSU students.
RSU Career Services will host a social science career and graduate school fair in conjunction with the event, giving job seekers the opportunity to learn about available internships, jobs and volunteer positions in the field.
There will also be a silent auction to be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with lots of great items. Proceeds will go to support future programing and events sponsored by CCPSA.
Completing the day’s activities, Oklahoma Blood Institute will host its fall blood drive 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The event is sponsored by the Community Counseling and Psychology Student Association, and Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology.
