In 2004, a pine tree was planted in memory of George Harrison in Griffith Park in LA. Reports are now confirming that tree has been killed by Beetles. Even George himself would find humor in the irony of the situation. He always said he had two big breaks in life, the first was when he joined The Beatles, the second biggest was getting out.
George Harrison was famous for being the lead guitarist for The Beatles as well as being a singer, songwriter and he later launched a successful solo career. Harrison died in LA in November of 2001 from lung cancer. A new tree will be planted in the upcoming months.
