Kiddo Yum: Carrot-Berry Sauce

    carrotNeed a kid-friendly solution to increase vegetable and fruit intake for the littles? This applesauce is a super easy way to get three full servings, without complaint!

    1 carrot, chopped
    1 apple, chopped
    1/2 cup blackberries
    1/3 cup to 1/2 cup orange juice (1/3 for thicker applesauce, 1/2 for a bit thinner)

    Place all in a small saucepan and cooked on medium-low heat for about 20 minutes. Until carrots are soft to the touch. Remove from heat and blend in a blender or food processor. Makes 1/2 cup!
