New Year brings New “Kids” to Will Rogers Birthplace Ranch
The Will Rogers Birthplace Ranch rang in the new year with the birth of four new baby goats. One nanny gave birth to a pair on the morning of December 29th and was soon followed by the second nanny giving birth to a pair on the morning of December 31st. Both litters have a male and female.
The first nanny gave birth to her litter on a cold, frosty morning. “We named them Jack and Frost,” said Jacob Krumwiede, assistant director of the Will Rogers Memorial Museum and Birthplace Ranch. “The female has the cream coloring, so we thought Frost was well-suited.” The second set was named Chilly and Willy.
All the kids and both nannies are doing well and are in good health.
The Will Rogers Birthplace Ranch in Oologah is opened daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with admission being by donation.
